Senior Hurling
In 2011 the Senior Hurling team was relegated from Div 3. In the early cup matches the team had mixed results with 2 victories and 1 defeat. The League commenced on 4th March 2012 and the team had a good victory over a highly rated Na Fianna team. Further victories were achieved at the expense of Trinity Gaels and Craobh Ciaran. The Senior B Championship commenced on 28th April 2012 and a tough first round against our old rivals Kevin’s took place in Dolphin Park. The team was rather lucky to come away with a 1.13 to 2.10 draw. The next fixture was against Kilmacud Crokes whom we suffered a narrow 0.13 to 0.10 defeat. Next Championship opponents were Raheny at St.Annes Park. Despite being under strength the team gave a very spirited display emerging winners on a 2.13 to 0.13 score line. The next opponents were our neighbours St.Marks in Kiltipper Road on 23rd May 2012 and victory was again achieved on a 2.23 to 2.6 scor line. After 4 games in the round robin section of the Championship qualification for Quarter Final stage was achieved. One fixture remains on 1st September 2012 against Parnell’s in St.David's School. The result of this match will determine which place the team finishes in the round robin and so determine who we oppose in the Quarter Final. It was back to league action on 26th May and in a top of the table clash with the emerging Castleknock led to a 1.16 each draw each in Kiltipper Road which ended in dramatic circumstanes.Next up was a date with Lucan Sarsfields in Griffith Park on 20th June and this resulted in a 4.21 to 2.7 win, followed by a 0.10 to 0.7 victory over Ballyboden St.Enda’s. The Team Managements clear objectives at the start of the year were to consolidate our position in the Senior B Championship and to achieve promotion from Div 4. At the halfway stage in the current season both of these objectives are still on course. Outgoing selectors Shane Plowman and David Foran were joined on the Management team this year by Gerard Moore and Nollaig Ryan. A start of the year strength and conditioning programme is now paying dividends.
Junior Hurling
The Junior Hurling team are experiencing what could be called mixed luck in 2012.In Adult Hurling League Div 7 currently lie in 4th place with 5 wins out of 6.The team defeated St.Judes,Clan na Gael Fontenoy,St.Monicas,Faughs, Round Towers and Naomh Barrog. The teams only defeat was against joint leaders Naomh Fionnbarra. Both joint leaders have been defeated once in this division with no team unbeaten so this league competition is still in the melting pot. In early Cup matches this team is also unbeaten. In the Junior D Championship the team suffered defeats to Kilmacud Crokes, Castleknock, Whitehall Colmcille and Raheny .One win was recorded at St.Patrick’s expense. This was not enough to qualify for the Quarter Final.A number younger players were introduced to this team this year. Mentors of this team are Mark Connery, Denis O'Donovan and David Small.
Minor Hurling
The Club struggled to field a Minor Hurling team in the 2011 League but is performing very well in the current Minor Hurling League Div 3.After 7 games played the team are currently in joint 3rd place with 10 points. They defeated Naomh Mearnog,Naomh Isolde,St.Marks and Cuala. They drew 2 games against Alfie Byrne Gaels and O'Tooles and suffered defeats to St.Peregrins and Kimacud Crokes. With 1 game remaining against St.Finnian's (Swords) the team will finish in top 4. The Championship does not start until 10th September and the mentors are confident that the team will be challenging for honors in this competition also. Most of the panel are eligible again next year. Mentors of the current year’s Minor Hurling team are Dominic Finnegan, Brendan Horan and Liam McGuigan.
Zac Moradi a member of the Senior Hurling played Under 21Championship, National League and Lowry Meagher Cup Inter County Hurling with Leitrim. He qualified under the home county declaration rule.
